| Description | The purpose of this course is to provide participants with the necessary skills and practical knowledge to conduct fire team operations within the Resources and Infrastructure Industries. Participants will learn how to plan and prepare for fire team operations, fight or contain fires and finalise the operation. Participants will also learn how to inspect and assemble equipment, undertake minor servicing, ensure equipment is ready and available for use in emergency situations, identify problems and take appropriate action. |

| Entry Requirements | It is recommended that participants hold the following unit of competency: |

| Qualification Requirements | Each successful participant will be issued a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for: |

| Assessment Requirements | The course will be based on theoretical sessions, equipment demonstrations, practical exercises and written assessments. |
||||
| Delivery Mode | Face to face and practical hands-on training conducted by an experienced Emergency Services instructor with strong knowledge of relevant Legislation and Australian Standards. |
||||
| Materials or Equipment Required | Students must wear long pants, long sleeve shirts and steel cap boots. |
||||
| Notes | If you are a new or continuing student undertaking nationally recognised training, you will need a USI in order to receive your qualification or statement of attainment for this unit |
