Drive - Drive Under Operational Conditions

The purpose of this course is to provide participants with the necessary skills and
knowledge to drive vehicles safely, including the systematic, safe and efficient control of all vehicles functions and effective management of hazardous situations under operational conditions.

1 day (8 hours)

Language, literacy and numeracy requirements from the unit are:
- Writing is required to the level of completing written assessments.
- Numeracy is required to enable the determination of similar activities.
Participants are required to hold a current unrestricted Class C driver’s licence, the ability to drive a manual vehicle and meet the National vision standards requirements for that States Legislation, with or without corrective lenses.

The course will be based on theoretical sessions, equipment demonstrations and practical exercises.
Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. The Statement of Attainment is issued by Riklan Emergency Management Services (RTO 51994) and is Nationally recognised.

Face to face and practical hands-on training conducted by an experienced Emergency Services instructor with strong knowledge of relevant legislation and Australian Standards.

Students must wear long pants, long sleeve shirts and enclosed shoes.

If you are a new or continuing student undertaking nationally recognised training, you will need a USI in order to receive your Qualification or Statement of Attainment for this unit.
