| Description | This course is nationally accredited and provides participants with the necessary knowledge and skills required to safely use and operate and maintain breathing apparatus (open circuit) in an irrespirable atmosphere as defined by the Australian Standard AS/NZS 1715:2009. This Unit is recommended for participants who are required to wear breathing apparatus in the workplace in a confined space, working with hazardous gases/vapours, in an oxygen deficient atmosphere or in other situations requiring the wearing of breathing apparatus. COST: $360 per participant |

| Assessment Requirements | The course will be based on theoretical sessions, equipment demonstrations and practical exercises. Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The Statement is issued by Riklan Emergency Management Services (RTO 51994) |

| Delivery Mode | Face to face and practical hands-on training conducted by an experienced Emergency Services instructor with strong knowledge of relevant legislation and Australian Standards. |
